Hi,
Session started off by thinking of 'Activities' for different MIs using bottle caps. As we explored we were amused to see how many activities we could think of... right from addition to teaching angles, from physics to poems and more and more...
Then we came to the maind map on Activity. We realized that an activity is one where the children make up their own induvidual goals which somewhere can converge with the teacher's 'objective'. Also it means that each goal is different and is his/her personal goal, there is no comparision with anyone and there is no wrong either. Motivation to go for it also remains high.
Taking 'Gravity' as an example helped us understand how an activity could be designed keeping the above points in mind. The KGQs were pouring from all sides. I realized how valuable these Qs were.
Still to explore how to include HOM in activity design. I am sure all of us were so very engrossed in the whole session that we didn't realize the time flow away....when I reached home, I realized this.
