[9ttt] Inspiring Lecture

Hey Everybody:

First, as a general rule of thumb, i don't forward
jokes/inspirational anecdotes/etc. to groups -- it's
just not my style.

But every once in a while I come across a story/event
that knocks you out of the groove you're in, and you
find yourself re-examining everything. I came across
such a video today and it's having a tremendous impact
on me.

The video is of a lecture given by a Carnegie Mellon
professor, Randy Pausch, on "Really Achieving Your
Childhood Dreams", life's lessons learnt, and so much
more! The speech is particularly poignant because he
is dying of pancreatic cancer. Professor Pausch's
lecture has taken America by storm, and once you see
the video, i think you'll understand why. And by the
way, his speech is very funny. So enjoy. (Be
patient, the introductions in the video are a bit
long).

With respect to Geniekids TTT classes, i was amazed at
the no. of geniekids nuggets that were in Professor
Pausch's lecture! I kept flashing back to my classes,
and then thinking that Aditi and Ratnesh would surely
be impressed by this guy.

Please do take the time to see, and reflect. In case
you have trouble accessing the site, you can read the
transcript of his lecture. Links to both can be found
at Randy Pausch's website (the speech is entitled,
"Last Lecture"):

Warm regards,
Sujata
