Developing Understanding

· Start with developing my own understanding what is it means to be
accurate/precise/exact/correct

· Think about or discusses different areas where we can be accurate,
what are the benefits, consequences if one is not there.

· Look for opportunities where I can value accuracy before I can
develop within me and my child:

- Admiring an artist's art, craftsmen's craft, surgeon's surgery,
scientist's invention, painter's painting….. for mastery, precision,
flawlessness, exactness and accuracy.

- Admiring nature for example cycle of Day and Night, Seasons, 24
hours of a day for accuracy and precision.

- Look for people in current events, literature, movies, stories or
personal experience who exhibit the trait of being accurate or lack it.

- Share personal experiences like, when I did some thing inaccurately,
what were the consequences, how it would have helped if I had done
accurately.(for example as I student how not preparing and writing well in
the exams V/S doing well in the exam)

Developing Strategies

How can I develop the strategy to help myself and my child?

- Think over the strategy I can use to develop it myself and my child.

- Also think over how I can make what I think, do, speak and feel more
accurate.
- Look for the people who I think exhibit the trait of accuracy and
find out the strategies they use.
- Keep looking and getting ideas from Internet search, media or people
and events around me, apply and see what is working and what is not.

Practice what I preach in my daily activities

If I want to develop this habit in my child, first I need to value it and
make it a part of my daily activities. For example

- Double checking whatever I am doing, my assumptions, beliefs etc.
for accuracy.
- Try to give my best in whatever I do.
- Look for ways to constantly improve myself. Try to do better than
last time.
- Focus on having an experience than excellence.

Also, look for the opportunities where I can show to my child the importance
of having this habit and consequences if its not there.

Positive Reinforcement

Keep assessing self and my child for any progress

When I find myself or my child using this habit, acknowledge it with praise
or a reward.

Keep reflecting and motivating.
